Declercq Chocolatier, next to the Markt in Bruges, 7:25 pm. Jozef Declercq, a 66-year-old master chocolatier, was found slumped over the marble counter of his workshop.
His heart stopped between 7:00 pm and 7:15 pm. Beside him sat the white porcelain cup from his daily tasting, still warm. The ambulance doctor did not believe it was a natural death.
The shop was already closed. Only three people had a key to the back or passed through that afternoon. One of them tampered with the cup.
