Tugboat Chagres, Pedro Miguel Locks, Panama Canal, 4:05 pm. At the customs check, the cargo cabin was locked, but the steel case was gone.
Inside it, twelve rough emeralds from Colombia, bound for a freighter in Balboa. The seal was checked at 1:50 pm, in the middle of Gatun Lake. At 4 pm, there was no case.
The tugboat didn't dock anywhere during the crossing. Only three people on board. One of them knows where the stones are.
