Tower for Sale

Cases unlock in order, like levels. This is case 146 of 200.
Paris, Saturday, May 23, 1925, 6 pm. In suite 412 of the Grand Hôtel Mirabeau, a stone's throw from the Concorde, a contract with the gold seal of the Ministry of Posts and Telegraphs lies on the table: the sale of the great iron tower as scrap, 7,000 tons of iron.
The buyer, Léonce Truchet, a scrap dealer newly arrived from Lille, paid 250,000 francs in thousand-franc notes there at 11 am to Deputy Director Aristide Bellegarde. At 3 pm, at the ministry, nobody had ever heard of the man.
The deputy director has vanished. The police sealed the hotel and are holding the three people who worked around him over the last two weeks.
One of them knows exactly where Deputy Director Bellegarde is right now.
