Heron Cay, a twenty-minute boat ride from George Town in the ExumasExumas A chain of more than three hundred islands and cays in the Bahamas, known for clear turquoise water., Saturday, 6:40 a.m. On Friday night, guests of the luxury Aurora Azul festival found hurricane tents, soaked mattresses and a cheese sandwich in a Styrofoam box. The headline band canceled.

Conrad Albrecht, 61, put three million dollars into the festival after seeing, at a dinner in Miami, a Lucaya Bank statement showing 9.2 million in tickets sold. In the middle of the night he called the bank: the real balance was 1.1 million, and nobody there had issued that paper.

The Bahamas police have impounded the only boat at the dock. Nobody leaves the cay.

Three people sold this paradise. One of them forged the paper that made Conrad believe.
