Pwll Glas Mining Museum, Rhondda Valley, Wales, 6:25 pm. Gareth Pryce, 62, a museum guide, was found dead at 6:10 pm in Gallery 9, under fallen wooden props.
Gallery 9 has been closed to the public since May. It looked like a cave-in, but the doctor says the blow to the back of the head came before the props fell. Death between 5:00 pm and 5:40 pm.
The museum closed at 4:00 pm. Only Gareth and three other people stayed in the mine. Everyone who goes down takes a cap lamp from the lamp room board.
One of those three people went down after him.
The miners' canteen, Formica tables, tea going cold and helmets hanging on the wall.
