Stockholm, Saturday, March 1, 1986, 10:00 am. Last night at 11:21 pm, Housing Minister Viggo Lindqvist, 59, was walking home from the Aurora Cinema with his wife along the main avenue downtown, without bodyguards.
At the corner of the iron staircase, he was shot in the back. A second shot grazed the shoulder of his wife, Agneta. The gunman climbed the steps and vanished into the snow.
The weapon was never found. This morning a passerby found two bullets on the sidewalk.
Three people were at that corner last night. One of them knows why no one ran after the gunman.
