Museum of Sacred Art of the Solar dos Arcos, Pelourinho, Salvador, 5:30 am. On the morning round, the night watchman found the pedestal of the Torchbearer Angel empty, a baroque fired clay sculpture from 1760.
The piece had come back from restoration a week ago. The main door is still sealed and no window was forced, but the hall alarm stayed switched off all night.
Three people know this museum well and were near it tonight. One of them took the angel.
