City walls of Dubrovnik, Croatia, 6:40 pm. On the set of the fantasy series 'Crown of Salt', a prop merlon of wood and resin fell from the scaffolding onto the lead actor, Rupert Hale.
Rupert survived, with a broken leg and collarbone. He was sitting alone on the parapet during a break in filming, right under the piece.
Eight steel clamps held the merlon. All of them were found open. Access to the scaffolding was closed at 6:00 pm, and only three crew members were nearby.
