The Golden Idol

Hotel Casona Santa Clara, a colonial mansion built on Inca walls in Cusco, 11:55 pm. The receptionist found the lobby display case open and empty.

The golden idol is gone, a fifteen-centimeter Inca figure lent by the museum for tonight's gala. The case opens with a key kept in the reception cabinet.

The iron gate locks at 11:00 pm and logs every opening. It hasn't opened since: the idol is still inside these walls.

The hotel is under renovation and closed to guests. After the gala, only three people stayed inside. One of them hid the gold.
